Description
Porcine Circovirus Type 2 (PCV-2) is a small, non-enveloped, single-stranded DNA virus from the Circoviridae family, ubiquitous in swine herds worldwide. It is the primary cause of porcine circovirus-associated diseases (PCVAD/PCVD), including postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS/PCV2-SD), reproductive failure, porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS), and respiratory/enteric issues.
