Description
MG (Mycoplasma gallisepticum) and MS (Mycoplasma synoviae) are the two most important mycoplasmas in poultry. They cause chronic respiratory disease (CRD), swollen sinuses, air-sacculitis, reduced egg production, and lameness (joint swelling with MS). Both are very contagious, spread through aerosols, eggs, and contact. They are a major economic problem in broiler, layer, and breeder flocks.
