Description
BVDV is a single-stranded RNA virus in the Pestivirus genus (Flaviviridae family), highly contagious and ubiquitous in cattle herds worldwide. It causes bovine viral diarrhea, a major economic disease through immunosuppression, reproductive losses (abortions, weak calves), respiratory issues, and growth retardation.
